Knowledge of the inflationary era is notoriously difficult to come by, single field slow roll inflation leaves few traces in the CMB and large-scale structure. However, a number of single field models that go beyond the slow roll picture may generate large primordial non-Gaussianity, providing an extra handle on the inflationary epoch. I will discuss some signatures of this primordial non-Gaussianity in the low-redshift universe and the feasibility of detecting it with upcoming experiments.
