Cosmic superstring dynamics

In this talk, I will give a brief review of recent models of cosmology within string theory that suggest the possibility that different types of string-like objects (cosmic superstrings) may be formed in the early universe. I will then describe how the degrees of freedom present on the string worldsheet in these theories can affect the dynamics of individual strings as well as the effect that this would have on the cosmological evolution of the entire string network.
